Bulk Waste Pick Up Information

Dayton’s Division of Waste Collection offers bulk waste pick-up service each Friday for those items that are too large or inappropriate for the regular green trash can. Residents must schedule a bulk waste pick up in advance by calling the Public Works all Center at 333-4800. The operator may ask a series of questions to identify exactly what materials are being collected. This is necessary to determine which piece of equipment to send to the scene and because some guidelines may apply. For example, metal objects must be separated from other items; refrigerators must first have the doors removed for safety reasons; and hazardous materials or rocks/bricks/gravel are not accepted. To schedule a bulk waste pick-up, call 333-4800 in advance. Residents can call between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
